Romita Swanson, long time resident of Mokelumne Hill...

Romita Swanson, a native Californian and long time resident of Calaveras County passed away peacefully at her home on January 31, 2010, with family and friends present. She was active in the Mokelumne Hill community and local organizations for many years, particularly the Mokelumne Hill Women's Club, Community Club, and Girl Scouts.

A performance that promises to be both a listening and visual delight will be at the Bret Harte Theatre on Sunday, February 21. Harp player Anna Maria Mendieta will perform with cello, violin, percussion and tango dancers. The program will transcend many music styles; sure to be crowd-pleaser.

Celebrate the first day of spring in the Mokelumne Hill Town Hall at the Veteran's Memorial Dist. Crab Feed on Saturday, March 20th. Social hour at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:30 pm.
